Here again I am getting off topic slightly ....military....air force....but made of sheet metal (tin)soldered together. This is a Consolidated PB2Y Coronado made by the Doering Brothers circa 1940.

I saw that Aluminum B-26 from New York. I thought it was interesting that it had a Curtiss style stand. One wonders if it was originally a model made by the Curtiss-Wright shops to promote their C-W props which, I believe, were featured on the Martin B-26.
