The TWA 707 looks beautiful,

I really like the 727, as I think that the Masudaya 727 is the best-looking of all the tin toy 727s.

I had seen photos of the JYESA (same as Juguetes y Estuches SA ? ) Constellation before.

Thank You for the information about those Rico Caravelles.

Also I have seen photos of a tin toy of the WWII era fighter, Hawker Hurricane, from Spain. Blue with white details or silver with blue spray-painted stencil details. GR writes that it's Rico. One auction description identified it as a JYE product. Did both firms make different Hawker Hurricanes?

Hi Tone:

The only tin Hawker Hurricane manufactured in Spain is from JYE SA. It is chromed but there is other version in some webs, that is blue painted with white cross in planes. (I don´t know, but I think is customized)
This is the Jyesa Hurricane

Rico made several single-engine and low wing airplanes, most famous is nº 160 but also a model more difficult exists to see in differents versions, (like Dh-Comet, but Single engine)

Never saw those single engine de Havilland Racers before.
Here is my Hurricane.

I was told it was by Rico and the JYE SA Hurricane is smaller, but they look identical from the photos.

There is still another important toy brand that made a simple but relatively big (and cheap...) airliner toy. I remember have been painting some of them is several liveries when i was a child. It was not expensive and easy to get in kioskos and small toy and candy shops. Here are the pictures and the original bagged looking for the toy. Geyper was an important brand from the 70´s and also made in Spain the Geyperman, the famous action figure exactly with the same moulds that the original one called Action man.

On the other hand , JYESA (Juguetes y Estuches, S. A.) started business making tin cases for syringes and other surgical material and of course some pressed steel small toys. That´s just because it´s name "Juguetes y Estuches" or translated into english "Toys and Cases".

Now a big question, Why did they make a Hurricane? It never flew in the Spanish Air Force before, during or after WW2.
Same question with the de Havilland Racer. Why then would a toy of this aircraft be a good idea? It did not fly over Spain during the race and I don't think any ended up there afterwards either.
Do you Spanish friends have any ideas?

certainly, hurricane never flew in Spain, nor either De havilland, I believe that the Spanish brands, chose two important airplanes of the moment to create their toys.

That red/white Geyper plane looks like a DC - 8 !

I've never heard of that brand before. Thanks for the information!
