One-piece cheap die cast toys need not be ugly and nasty. These Tootsietoy F-94 Starfires prove this. The planes are simpler than the firm's earlier two piece castings to be sure, but they remain nice-looking nonetheless.

I agree Tony. One can make a nice collection of the color variants of each model.
Some time ago I noticed from time to time these planes could be found with military themes, in OD Olive Drab. I believe they are the only pre 1965 Tootsies {besides the ultra rare pre war Dc-4 variants; 'Long Range Bomber' and Army Transport'} that had transfers.
I started collecting them. I guess they were issued in a military play set around the Korean War period but I have never seen one. Makes for a neat display.
