This large die cast Hawkeye, with plastic parts, has a pull-back-action friction motor to operate the props. It also has a freely-spinning dish.

That may be the most accurate screw-top Hawkeye "toy" I've ever seen! It even looks better than the DynaFlite! Nice nose; nice props; nice marks. This has to be a very recent issue, yes?
Thanks for posting!

Hawkeye

I bought it in 2003. It is considerable larger than the Dyna-Flite and the Pioneer toys, having a span of eight inches.

The Pioneer I am referring to is a silver plane, similar to the Dyna-Flite with a slightly longer fuselage. It came in a three-pack at a dollar store with a grey F-18 that looks exactly like the Dyna Flite casting, and a white Tomcat.

I haven't seen your "Pioneer" issues. Not a lot of HawkEyes out there...the Maiso version is a standout. The Dyna looks more like a C-2 with a roof...
