Frontier Airlines has been around in one form or another since its founding in Denver Co in 1950
Image
It operated an all Boeing 737 fleet. First the ‘Jurassic’
Image
and later the ‘Classic’
Image
until its present incarnation, when in 2003, it went over to the competition (and in fact was the launch customer for the A-318, which incidentially its since started taking out of service)
Image
The last ‘classic’ was withdrawn in 2005.

The animal tails began appearing in the ‘90s

Image
and turned into a very successful marketing campaign

Image
this incarnation of the Frontier livery draws on all three of the aircraft types the airline has operated.
Image
A Jurassic registration, a Classic facelift livery and a fin with ‘Maya’, the South American Jaguar, which appeared on an Airbus.
Image
My first ever simulator experience was in a Frontier 737 Jurassic sim out at Stapleton, in the late ‘80s.
Image
And even though I really didn’t have much of a clue,
Image
managed to baffle the Fed with bollocks and passed.
Image
a stressfull experience, which i paid ACT an arm and a leg for.
Image
Looking back though, it was worth every penny.
Image
So this is the ‘Frontier Jurassic Simulator experience memorial’ restoration.
Image
Enjoy!

Now I really like this, from rags to riches and what a transformation, with a plentiful supply of these later Dinkies then its the way to go.

yeah, they're not expensive Barry. and as 'dumpy' as the casting is (wing root camber's too prominent), if the gear's complete, they're worth restoring.
