How Do You Display Your Collection?

I have about 1500 diecast and plastic replicas on display; of these about 1100 are aircraft models in every scale imaginable from 1:48th on down. This aggregation----the work of roughly 15 years------takes up the better portion of the wall space of three rooms, though these are also utilized for storage, a library of books, all sorts of supplies, picture taking set ups and my work area. About half of my warbirds, which are organized by country and era----WWI, WWI, Post-WWII-----are given favored treatment, being situated in eight large glass enclosed display cases which wrap around the walls of what was once a master bedroom. Here are situated my WWII U.S., German, Japanese and British birds, which are posed in the wheels-down and up mode---the latter on stands------to maximize the use of space. Here are two pictures of this particular room and its well protected brood of aircraft replicas:

As for the rest, I'm sorry to say that these models are crammed onto the shelves of wooden bookcases, which means that they get rather dusty, but that's how it goes in the collecting business.

This is still in the planning stage and has been for a good number of Years due to various reasons. Hopefully it won't be much longer until it's resolved but what I have in mind will be a wee bit flightline so to speak.

Ian, your collection displays well and I see some old friends in it and a few I wish I had in mine, especially that Dinky Toys German Air Force Camouflaged F-4 Phantom II. I gave up looking for one after the prices went vertical. I do have the camouflaged USAF F- 4.
What are those aircraft with the round metal stands? I do not recognize the manufacturer.
Where is Lincoln? USA or UK?
Who made the Vulcan?

Also if and when you get a chance could you take a few focused photos of the underside of your Caravelle? I would like to see the under wing markings
We recently learned a little more about this toy and the newly discovered variations.
The Hurricane and Spitfire in small scale came from the UK cereal promotion, no? Nice and not often seen.

that grey/green camo RAF Dinky F-4K Phantom is somewhat interesting. It represents a prototype scheme issued by Dinky in 1977, which was never used in practice. It is similar to the Phantom pictured in Sue Richardson's book in picture 107.
Do you know, where your's come from? Somebody tried to make a copy here, which at least is close to the Dinky prototype. The camo scheme is pretty similar...
