New Wheel Strut for Temco

I have this cheap Japanese-made TEMCO Jet Trainer; however, it came with a hastily-made tail strut.



Here is the new strut I made yesterday.

Why is that a Temco? Temco built a proposed trainer for the USN, but this plane looks like a USAF F-80.
Is that what the box says?

Perhaps you are both wrong! not often I can say that to two experts......but follow my thinking for a bit..

I believe it is this one, yes a Cessna T-37! Was the principal USAF jet trainer since early 1950s and just last year the last one was taken out of service. Check cockpit location with relation to air intake. Even shows the FOD doors in the intakes.

On the toy I notice where there isn't any jet exhaust at all! So, yes...it could be a T-37. My real curiosity is where the Temco name came from? Is it on the box somewhere? So many of these planes are completely misidentified by their makers, either by accident or on purpose. My Dynaflites are no exception, and it's fun to play the "Guess the Plane" game. For instance, in the Dynaflite line they have a SPAD. It's labeled as such on the piece itself, and identified in all the catalogs as a SPAD. However, a quick look shows that it's really a Sopwith Camel. But if I refer to it as a "Camel" no one would know which item I am talking about. Hence, I call it a SPAD whenever I reference to it. ...even when it's a crop duster!
So, for reference purposes, I'd like to know that somewhere on the box it's been labeled as a "Temco" for whatever reason.

That's a Temco TT-1! ...no doubt about that, and a lovely piece with some nice lookin' guys inside too!

I like the ALPS Six-engined Bomber in the background- I have a couple early toys like that but with just four props.

The B-36 wing looks like it was put on backwards, but, no, that's the way it was designed. Didn't know who made it - Alps, Interesting.

Convair did produce a model for a tractor B-36, but it never got beyond that.

You guys remember the issues of TPN where we would get all the members to send it photos of their toys of one specific aircraft?
This Website lends itself to that - Forums for aircraft that were popular and had many different types of toys made of them. {Michael we could do a Spirit of St. Louis forum and I know you have an impressive collection.}
