Yonezawa B-36 just sold on Ebay Guess how much?

US $2,026.00!!! and it didn't have its box....
so now not only is the toy the largest tin toy ever produced it, but also it now holds the record for the highest price of all 1950 tin aircraft toys sold.
Chris, does this help with your discussion of tin toy pricings today???

My comment was asking for an opionion about value increase of low and medium priced toys in the past years.
Neither is the Yonezawa B-36 a matching example, nor is one single ebay auction result representative to answer here.

This Japanese tin B-36 is much smaller and much less expensive than its famous elaborate cousin. It is also far rarer!

Here are some photos of my ET Co + Yonezawa #9000 Convair Conqueror bomber.

One blister and the rubber turbine spinners are missing. Otherwise all parts are intact. 5 of the 6 props still turn. She's been sitting in the display case for over a decade now and the wheels still look great ! ! ! ! !
