You would've been as happy as a clam if Santa were to have brought you one of these toy planes 50 years ago - Tomiyama's SUPER SONIC JETLINER.

Look at all those features: it's two feet long, one of the largest tintoy planes made. Never mind that the engine/tail assembly is impossible in real life - it's a dramatic, fun toy. Welcome, space age.

Close up of those four pilots in their twin teardrop-shaped canopies. Other photos will follow: the photo hosting web site is really sluggish and cantankerous ! ! !

They include: the airport gangway (same as that used with the DC-7s and 707s), the happy passengers and the underside of the jet engines showing the Tomiyama Mouse logo. Formerly, the company had used "ET Co." in a circle with triangles inside of it.

This plane has resided in my display case for ten years now, and this is my first photo shoot. Thankfully, the tires are still in very nice conditions with no flattening.

Here are the passengers in the windows, a close-up of that troublesome tail section, and the undersides of the jet engines.
