Rosko brand Sikorsky 58
Posted: Fri Oct 22, 2010 2:49 pm"Rosko" Brand sold this "tested" Japanese-made, Toys-Nomura model of a Sikorsky helicopter airliner from the 50s or early 60s. I had not heard of this airline - was it real? Chicago Helicopter and SABENA flew passenger airliner service using S-58s.
It has a clear canopy with moving engine parts. Also, a piece of "perspex" encircles the tail rotor.
Fortunately for me, Jeffrey didn't like this toy too much and didn't play with it heavily. I wish Daniel had not written on the box cover with marker, though. NB: If his name was spelled with a "G," he probably would've loved this toy.
