I don't collect non- Yone branded Jap tin but this one was went for little money {<$100} in a French auction and is in great shape.

The cockpit is very unusual and I wonder if an early XB-47 prototype design may have had this type side by side cockpit layout?

Oddly enough, that one is in a 1957 Canadian Sears Simpson catalog (see web site Wishbook Web). I thought that the metal strip holding the fuselage halves together created the side-by-side flight deck windows.

Line Mar's realistic B-52 named Flagship Nardina appeared in US Sears book that same year. The serial numbers on the tail are one number apart and the lithography pattern is similar. I think that "Nikko Gangu Kogyo" made tin toys for both TN and Line Mar Toys - I would like further elaboration and confirmation from somebody who knows the real story!

I think that the Blue Strato Jet (that looks much more like the Dash Eighty) is an early version of an automatic-action battery toy jet plane. There's also a remote control variant.

That T.N. Stratojet was the one of Frederic. I remember it, because I was the lower bid with 100,- Euro.....

I finally decided not to go higher, since I have strong doubts about the shape accuracy...

Chris, you should have no further doubts, it is not accurate, just amusing and in superb condition. He had an excellent Convair 404 on auction yesterday.
