Naturally, I think these are excellent pieces! The photo is a bit light, as the green colored one is darker than shown. Here's the original DF MOC.
Those of you following will find that the DynaFlite A117 space was replaced with the Grumman E2C and became A117A at a later point. It's no surprise that they dropped this piece, probably due to it's complexity and probability of falling to pieces in a child's mouth!
The plastic engines and two bombs commonly come part, to say nothing of the glued in landing gear pegs.
In terms of collecting, Bill has a good direction with seeking all the Me-262s out there. It has always been a popular and important part of any model producers catalog - still is! ...and now there are full size models flying as well!
Each one of these "classic" issues seems to have a story to tell, and even the new Maisto issue seems to have a hidden story! ...perhaps it is the first of the May Cheong produced pieces?

I forget the circumstances of that purchase, but in light of typical ebay prices it was cheap enough. Bird in hand and all that...I have several loose pieces, but always need MOC in order to study release sequences.
...and they ARE rare...you laugh...
BTW....any readers with MOC DF Me-262s to sell at $8...lemme know!

That early Me-262 MOC at $8.00 is a real bargain! Focused Collectors will pay a lot more than that for that piece!!

I wanna know why whatever it is that I want to find is always at the bottom or back of the stacks? ...and it's the one box unlabeled? ...and then I need to push all these pesky Polistil, PlayMe and loose DynaFlites out of the way? But, find I did.
This is the Modern Toy issue of the ZEE DynaFlite A117 Me-262...another of those annoying MOC pieces :D , but in this case it's MIB. Collected in Japan in 1983 by a MAC member, it came into my loving home about 6 months ago. It differs from the more common issue by it's obviously much lighter blue color. But wait - there's more! Instead of the two small black plastic bombs, it has two much larger chrome ones. Marking are identical to other issues as are the various cast in identifiers.
Zylmex is noted on the piece and on the MT box, but ZEE is never mentioned. The rest of the box is in Japanese, and is mostly a numerator and list of other Zylmex issues. The numbers change from box to box on occasion but even within the Japanese are enough English characters to make some sense of it.
As you can see the MT number for the Me-262 is 21.
Such nice packaging!
...thought y'all might enjoy seeing this rare bird! ...I bet I could get 8...naw...10 dollars for this one! :o
