Data Sheet-Metro Novelties
Sold in various shops pre-war in loose boxes on counter.
Circa 1936.
Miles Falcon noted in various colour combinations,Silver,Silver/gold,silver/blue.
Small hole underneath for a bicycle spoke to be placed and fixed to handlebar,coarse propeller spins in slipstream.
Not much is known about Metro Novelties or where they were made ?
Availability-Scarce but do surface.
Price:£15-£25

Barry, I have another one in my collection, a DC-2. I found it in London. Both of these are prewar, do you have any post war? II don't recall these types of toys being sold during my youth{postwar} and wonder why? we had plastic pinwheeel things, but not much else to put on our bikes.

Yes I have that one as well,previously unknown to me,have you noticed the weight of this,very heavy metal.
As regards postwar handlebar models the answer to that is as yet nothing has surfaced ? however you know what things are like we are always proved wrong out of the blue.
Pinwheels seem to have taken over in that department.
