I have a mint (not in box, though) Aeromini. She is labeled the "Spirit of '76". I believe that she may be rare. I would like to know more about it, can you help? :?

I think those might've been made to correct some of the quality control errors from the Masudaya / Modern Toys firm that made planes for Aero Mini. Masudaya contracted with people to finish the planes in their homes, and their decorating skills wasn't always the best. GR could tell you more!

Punks, here is my example, unboxed. It was considered a very rare model 10-15 years ago, but I have seen a few since on ebay so I would now say it is scarce.

The one I never see is the USAF 747, but we have some Aero Mini experts on this site so perhaps they could offer their input.
tony was right about how Jap subcontractors finished some of the models, and also the owner and his sole employee did some on blank castings in the usa after they separated from the japs and before bamkruptcy.
- the USAF C-135 was one and that explains how some have different nose finishes etc.
I am in the swiss alps on holiday and do not have access to my records, but when I return I will look up some of the info on these and the others. We had the founder at a collectors dinner years ago before one of our TPN 'only toy and model planes toy' shows....and he told us the entire history. Tony was there as were about 30 others
Happy Holidays to all
