This late prewar airplane was made by Manoil. Unusual find. Lead slush cast unlike all the post war Manoil planes that were die cast

I thought this was a Ralstoy model. Mine has a three-bladed prop.

I bought mine from Sy, and you know how he was on research. I questioned him about it but he insisted it was a Manoil, 'No question', he added. He could be wrong but it was not expensive. I do not know Ralstoy at all. Do you have any others?

According to O'Briens Collecting toys, 10th edition, there were at least 6 different models made by Ralstoy during the 20's and 30's. Six cabin planes and a pursuit Plane. I have one of cabin planes. The one you show looks very much like a Ralstoy in this book. The Ralstoy are fairly rare based on my observations in the online market.

I checked, and my red example actually has "RALSTOY" imprinted in small letters under one wing, quite different from the marks on the other toys in this thread.

Could this be a case of several manufacturers using the same, or similar, molds ?

This was made by Ralstoy. Have had several and one had the Ralstoy name cast on the underside. They were known for using aluminum props. Both Fred Maxwell and myself had several and were positive of the maker. PRE

Other Ralstoy Plane

Here is another Ralstoy plane: The "P-40;" if you think the Tootsietoy looks bad, this one is even less realistic. Neat toy, though.

It has black wheels - so I guess, post-WWII ?

I got this one from experienced local toy collector, Phil Krantz.

I spotted this item this morning:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Tootsie ... Sw8w1X~9Bw

This looks like a P-40 but I am sure it is not a Tootsietoy as stated in the description.

It does not look like the Ralstoy slush-mold I have, either - it's open on the bottom.

Prop does not look as though it turns-this is weird! Black rubber tires hint at post-war issue, perhaps even modern cottage industry product.

What is it for sure? I think it's a recent or current item.
