Remember back about 10-15 years or so, mint condition Aero Minis like those 707s unboxed would get $65-75 on ebay?
The 747s would get $85-95 and up, the KC-135 $125+, the Navy of RAF F-4s $120-130, any DC-8 would be $175++, and Zeros would be $250 and up. Add on if they have their boxes.
I do not follow prices of these closely, but are the prices today the same?
May be the Zeros still fetch $250+, but I haven't seen any in a long time. Not many DC-8s or F-4s either when I think about it.
I would say, based on the lack of any sightings for quite a while, that the rarer ones still are quite scarce: the AA 747 in chrome, The USAF 747 {E-4A}, the 747 Spirit of 76, the Japanese F104J, the USAF F-4, and the JAL DC-8 {an unauthorized issue by the Japanese firm that made the castings}. As an aside, the founder of Aero Mini had such huge problems with the Japanese supplier that he decided to bring all the finished manufacturing back to the USA.
Any thoughts?
Brian Tomkins, the UK Aero Mini distributor in the 1970s, made many other variants also outside of Aero Mini's control. All were very well done.
And when Aero Mini went backrupt, The Peckhams bought the molds and the remaining stock and they issued some nice aircraft in other markings, like the 737 Alaska Airways one. They used the business name of AeroMini, one word, but they and any examples of the planes they produced haven't been around for quite a while.

I hadn't paid much more that $50 for each of these and all four of these came with the plain brown box - just wanted a creative display. There's a Royal Navy F4 currently on offer (item# 160376272947) with the bidding at $124. Another one went for $100 something, but some relatively common models with BIN prices above the $80 range have been lingering unsold for weeks. Checking the completed listings and there are several that went for under $35 with a couple going for the $9.99 start bid.
Somebody was selling some leftovers from the AeroMini's days (item #s 160371977469 190343962906 190343962354) near Batavia NY. Wish I had the fundage to get the molds and equipment so I could restart the line.
