Can anyone identify the manufacturer and age of this Autogiro model - it doesn't look like any of those I can find on the internet?

It doesn't resemble the Spanish Play Me autogiro, the Rico tin one or the Tootsietoy diecast and tin winged one, nor is it an original Dinky Toys Fr or UK, but the fuselage casting seems more similar to one later Dinky variants with the pilot's head than any others I know of.

It looks like the landing gear legs, engine cowling, and rotor support have been filled in and re-profiled. Looks like the gear support is visible a bit. Tail wheel looks like it is missing which is normal as it frequently broke away. Rotor and pin look right, though. Prop and pin don't look right and are probably not original to Dinky, at least from judging from the photo

These 1930s Dinky Toys toys were fragile, and those parts frequently broke away in childhood play. Would make sense to try and repair it.

Could you check closer and look underneath?

I agree with GR - the closest match is the Dinky Toy autogiro.

But, the differences GR pointed out are noteworthy.

Perhaps this toy is the product of an amateur modeler who made a rough mold of a Dinky Toy?

The dimensions seem close enough to support that possibility.
