Here are my 2 Polistil B-58s

I wonder if it appeared in the other Poilstil standard finishes {see below} dark green, white, grey, blue, desert tan, and the blue/grey green camouflage that I have seen only on their Harrier.

I never see any Polistil aircraft around anymore. Nice range of toys, well done and some odd subjects not often found in toys- A-4 Skyhawk, F-5 Freedom Fighter, Fiat G-91, Saab Viggen, and a Dassault Mirage 4A.

The two boxes lower left are the Hurricane and Spitfire that were made by Poilistil for a 1980s Battle of Britain cereal promotion for TONKA in the UK. The airfield buildings were printed on the back of the boxes to cut out and assemble and you had to send in for the two planes. In an old issue of TPN there was a photo of the set.

Also there is a B-58 in this other line- You just have to look hard to find it.

Actually, the promotion was in 1990 for the 50th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. I was living in the UK at the time and ate a lot of Kellogg's Corn Flakes to get one of each. The Spitfire was the same mould as the Matchbox Skybusters. I ended up giving them to my kids. Later, I was able to get a couple more from a dealer there.

In Diecast Toy Aircraft by Richardson book it states the Matchbox Spitfire came at the end of the promotion, and the Tonka/Polistil one is listed and measuresd in a different size than the Mtachbox,so they should be 2 different castings.
I can't find my Matchbox Spitfire to compare with my Tonka/Polistil,the Polistil is a goldtone with camoflage over.
The Polistil 's are underrated models, wish i could find that Viggen.
