That amount is over twice what I paid for my red one in 2004.

More than I wanted to give. Buying Christmas toys sometimes brings nice prices. I will keep looking. Dennis

I see that this is an old thread but now I have one that I am overhauling and the prop is intriguing. Mine is stamped steel from the factory. I cannot tell if the others out there are the same or did Hubley start casting props and installing them. Also, mine was yellow from the factory and there is one that is on eBay that is also features factory yellow paint. So there may have been three colors and not just red and green. I am attaching shots of the nose. For those missing the prop, send me a note. If we have enough need, the local steel company can lasercut these for me.

Here's a quick follow-up on the PA-18 Super Cub from Hubley. I will probably be stuck in toy collector Purgatory but the airplane was just to bland for me and I added some extra markings. It has scale-correct tires and prop. I would go as far as to say that this particular airplane gave the Dinky and Corgi companies a real run for their money when it was being produced. It is a nice solid toy airplane with very nice subtle details.

First of all, you do very nic work. Excellent. And Yellow is quite rare. Not many to be found in any condition. Keep up the good work.

Mike,
Many Thanks. I am looking to have the props reproduced shortly as these seem always be missing.

my favourite aircraft of all time. used to tow gliders in a super cub. didn't have any electrics (except for a vhf radio), so got pretty good at prop swinging.
