There is a boxed example on ebay now,one day to go,quite pricey, Unfortunately someone scratched their name under the fuselage and on rotors at one time
But lots of pictures in the listing, worth a free look on a model not seen much

Note that the tail skid has broken away, like happens with most of those heavy lead Autogiros

My Britains' beauties. The only one with skid is the Army one, which for the rest is a wreck.. But one G-ACIN even has the guiding wheels underneath the rotor and at the tail to hang the toy from a thin wire and let it hover through your room...

Because these are such amazing toys, I'll post a few photos that show the variations a bit more.

Here's the No. 1392 civilian Cierva C.30 Autogiro. My research shows it was released in 1935. The finish was always blue, and the toy was designed to fly down a wire strung between two points. There is a hard-to-find version with metal wheels on the landing gear.

Britains No. 1392

This toy is a very precise copy an aircraft which flew in 1933.

Here's the No. 1431 Army Co-Operation Autogiro. I believe it was released from 1936-41 and featured a glossy green finish with British roundels. This toy was never designed to fly and was released in a smaller, more compact box.

Finally, here's the No. 1899 Army Cierva C.30 Autogiro. I believe it was released in 1941. It has a matte green finish with U.S. Army Air Corps roundels. The box and insert closely resembled the No. 1392, but the label was different. I sure wish I owned the box and lid!
