The cheaply produced Atlas Editions series of 1:72nd scale diecast warbird models includes a number of planes not replicated before in diecast form. One of these is the German TA-152 high altitude fighter which was developed towards the end of WWII from the FW-190 line. This extremely advanced fighter could have given the Allies real trouble if it had been available in 1943 or 1944 but by the spring of 1945 it was way too late. In any event, the Atlas model, which, I understand, was made by Oxford Diecast, while providing a good deal of detail in its basic tooling, needed lots of work due to missing parts, like the pitot head and various antennae and direction finders on its under surfaces. In addition there were large seam gaps where the wings join with the fuselage and elsewhere, the scheme was inaccurate and should have had a spiral on its spinner, the stick-on wing root guns did not meld well with the wing and, of course, there was no pilot.
