James May continues his Toy stories on British television weekly,this week he covered Meccano and made a visit to Binns road in Liverpool the former home of the Meccano/Dinky toys empire,imagine his surprise as he got out of the taxi and peered at a fitness centre ! yes they have taken over the entire factory for stationery bicycles and all those other bits of equipment that are supposed to keep you fit.
A far cry from the days of mass produced real toys that had no trace of a microchip in them,how times have changed ?
