M Bludworth informs that the Superbowl is the first weekend in February so we are now focusing on the second weekend, the 11th of February or before on the January 28th.

MAC Meet, 2012 {28 January or 11 February}
Following the first informal MAC 1/200 collectors meet Dennis Ramsey held at his home earlier this year, we are planning on holding another, larger and general interest one in 2012 for all airplane toy and model collectors who are members of the MAC web forum.
The idea is to provide a very informal opportunity to meet other collectors, expand or thin your collections with active sales and trading, and to enjoy the collecting fellowship similar to the earlier Plane News get-togethers.
Wives, friends, and family are welcome, but this will be a casual, private, free, and unadvertised event. Only MAC forum members are invited.
UPDATES.
The updates as they occur will only be found here on miniatureaircraftcollectors.com in the General Discussion forum under MAC MEET 2012.
For those who reserve emails will be sent.
DATES.
Unconfirmed but we are considering 28 January or 11 February. We are open to other ideas on dates. This will be confirmed and is subject to change or cancelation. We are avoiding Superbowl weekend, 4/5 February.
LOCATION.
At this point everything is unconfirmed but it may be held at GR Webster’s home in Central Florida or depending on the number of attendees nearby in a private hall.
This is located in on Lake Reedy, Frostproof, Florida, 70 miles South of Orlando, 95 miles East of Tampa, 220 North of Miami. Nearby towns are Avon Park, Sebring, and Lake Wales.
SELLING and TRADING.
We encourage attendees to bring lots of items for sale/trade or plan on buying for their collections. There will probably be hundreds of aviation only items for sale or trade.
Immediate cash sales or trades, no eBay costs, shipping issues, or other hassles.
Depending on the number of interested people, we will either have this take place very informally at GR’s home, or, if there is a lot of interest, in a nearby, very simple rental hall in the town of Frostproof starting at 0830 Saturday morning ending at 12:30.
Be sure to price items for sale before hand. Bring plastic bags and wrapping materials.
All items are your own personal responsibility, no loss or damage or security is covered.
Tables for sellers must be reserved in advance and will cost aboutapx $10. {The final price will depend on the rental hall cost, if needed.}
MEALS.
All meals will be at the individual’s expense at cost.
AGENDA.
Friday - Early arrivals get-together at GR's followed by dinner in Frostproof or Lake Wales.
Saturday
0730 - Sellers set up- NO early admission.
0830 - Sale and trading.
1230 - End of sale and trading
1300 - Lunch near by in a family style restaurant, private section
1500 - GR Webster collection on display
1730 - cocktails and BBQ {at cost} at GR Webster’s Alligator Lodge.
Sunday
Open, nothing planned but camping, swimming and fishing is available at GR’s if desired. See other attractions, below.
HOTELS.
We will not have a formal registration process, nor will there be any registration fees.
We will provide a list of hotels nearby for attendees to reserve directly.
Anyone with a camper is welcome to stay on GR’s property but there are no hook ups.

I must get an idea soon to see how many people are planning on attending. There are no fees or registration hassles just simply email me now with your name, wife, family members or friend’s names. Arrival and departure dates. Also indicate if a table is needed to sell/trade, if attending lunch, if attending BBQ dinner. Meals and tables are charged at cost.

Hi there Tom, I miss those shows, too.
This one will be very casual, no grand ball room in a hotel, just whoever shows up. There will be very little expenses so that compensates somewhat for those that travel a long way.

GR,
I plan on making the meeting. Might have my wife one day, too. We will travel back an forth to Oviedo. Very little, if any, to sell. Likley bring the Comet/Authenticast masters for folks who have not seen. Also, if you are still offering the comet 1/432 globe for sale to me, will likely get this time. Kind of depends on how much other "stuff" I find. Also, would it be worthwhile to use this site (this forum or another) to list "Wanted" or "For sale" or "For trade" for anyone attending that has plane models/toys to sell? Might help for those traveling to bring something they know is not going back home with them. Just a thought and you might have to limit the number of items someone could "list" here. Thanks, Dennis
