I enjoyed playing with these helicopters back in the 1970s. The design was unusual as the toy actually went into auto-rotation as the blades slowed down and it landed softly - well more or less.

this is another version which could be earlier. Note the use of the inside box bottom sides for writing details and instructions which I have never seen used before .

Guenther in Germany have been making them until today! Recently I bought one for my daughter (and myself) and they go up to more than 10 meters height!

These are great toys! I have the DUX 200, 201, 202, 203, 204 and 205 in my collection.

For the most part, the 200-203 series toys are the same in design. My best guess is that the toy was altered slightly and re-released in new packaging over the years. I wish I had a list of the release dates!

The boxes are all different for the 200-203 toys and have TERRIFIC graphics/illustrations.

There are additional helicopter toys in the DUX line; I've seen a Dux 220 and one other with an unknown model number.

Other companies have similarly-designed flying toys. K.S. Sunstar and B.W. Molded Plastics come to mind. There are others from Hong Kong, etc.

These toys also make me think of the Berg Hummingbird and BeBu line of toys... Another topic?!
