Verkuyl BOAC Stratocruiser 'Cabot'

This fine Verkuyl casting in my collection is one produced in a last series metal 1:72 models way back in the eigthies.

More like the 1960s- No?
BOAC stopped flying them by then.
Is than an original Verkuyl stand?

No, this was a late (last?) production run in the eighties. Other models I remember seeing at a Dutch convention in Rotterdam were:
DC-6 KLM, L1049 National AL, L1049G KLM, Orion Dutch Navy (in fact the Electra casting was used), DC-3 Dutch Dakota Ass. (and some jets like the DC-8 Martinair).
I think Dutch collector Ed van Rooyen (http://www.dutch-aviation.com) could help here on details of the last years of the Verkuyl production.
