British ID models 1:72 scale

I wonder why no British ID models had a manufactured provision for hanging the model from a ceiling as did the American IDs? Just how was one going to display them?
Here are three showing my solution: I used bailing wire to make a cradle, not pretty, but I did not want to drill any holes.
But back to my question: How were they used in service?

They just used cord GR,my father sometimes used to teach in the recognition rooms and mentioned that they just had wooden dowel stretched across the rooms with the models underneath hanging down in differing attitudes,some were merely placed onto shelves and held up as and when required,but you have a valid point and very wise not to drill any of your models.
That is the first Canberra ID that I have seen.

Ah the wonderful standard issue MOD 'Wrapping Waxed Storage' used in massive quantities to preserve everything from an engine piston ring to a complete wing,to have the original contents like this is of great historical interest.
