My Collection Of Cruver ID Models

Postby Epap » Tue Aug 03, 2010 3:23 am

I once had about 90-95 of these models as a kid, but I ruined many in my attempts to paint them and still more fell victim to the melting/rot disease that affected these replicas if one didn't know how to care for them. About 20 of my originals have survived and I also bought a number of copies of the original Cruver pieces from the late Dick Miller in the early 1990s. Naturally I tried my amateurish hand at painting the copies, with indifferent results. I was scanning my computer picture file recently and came across these shots of various Cruver and Cruver copied models which I thought I'd share. Please don't laugh too hard at my feeble efforts. Thanks to the start I got fooling around with these models, I've become fairly skilled at painting and detailing more recent diecast and resin replicas. Here's the first picture:Image
