This book/web site is a good identification source for pre-war Japanese airplanes especially. Also, who has ever seen a tin twin-engine bomber made in Chile in 1942? My favorite is the Mohawk Toys biplane.
There is a conflict with Frederic Marchand in identifying toys from the French maker "JML." Marchand attributes some of the streamlined tri-motor planes to "Jouets Magnin Lyon" while Despature identifies "Jouets Martinan et Larnaude" as the maker.
