New Book on Dinky Toy Aircraft

As some of you may know I am writing a comprehensive book on Dinky Toy Aircraft.
Volume I is due out in October and covers the pre War aircraft and the early re-issues post War. Volume II should be out by the new year and will cover all the post War 1945-79, English and French...{and even the Indian issues}
As soon as it is made available I will post the info here.

GR, are you aware that there was a line in Argentina of Dinky Toy aircraft copies? I have a few, but other than that I have no additional info.

I was not aware of that and it would find a place in the book where copies and fakes are discussed. I have heard of some from South Africa, but I think these were real Dinkies. I haven't seen them.
any chance on getting some photos, 300 dpi - or fine setting on your camera, you can post them here but I would like to see the big size. be sure to shot the names on the underside of the wing, if you can

Cristian, I would love to see some of your photos of the Argentine Dinkys. I have a boxed Mercury but it is most likely a local copy, and a bad one at that and I seriously doubt it was authorized. I have seen Hurricane and B-17 copies, too, in lead, but nothing leads me to believe these were licensed manufacture by Dinky.

I am now progressing solo with the Dinky Toy Aircraft book after a 6 month time wasting collaboration with out result with another collector.
Fortunately Dr. John Buegels of Holland has agreed to provide expert input and he has been superb with comments, suggestions and photos. He has the most incredible collection of pre War Dinky Toys ever assembled.
John de Uphaugh, George Cox, Reg Lambert, and our own Evan Spelfogel are also contributing and I will ask once again to any others and for the final time, if you want some of your Dinky Toy Aircraft shown in this book, send me some high def photos asap- draft closes end january. Even the common ones, if well photographed, will be considered.
