JG 71 Phantom 'Richthofen'

this one caught my eye...

not perfect by any means, but its about as close as i could get it

in case you weren't aware; Richthofen was taught by Oswald Boelke himself and became the top scoring ace of WW1 before his death in April 1918

Hi Norri,

another great work from you. The numbers for the registration 37+03 should be black inside.

JG 71 has been operating the Phantom until today! They will probably complete the change to the Typhoon in June 2013.

After that change from Phantom to Typhoon, JG 71 "Richthofen" will be connected to JG 31 "Boelcke", which is stationed 20 km west of Cologne (Noervenich/Kerpen).
I was spending my youth there watching the Starfighters of JG 31 coming in and out....

thanks Chris, glad you like it. yes, you're right. problem is i don't have the software to produce silhouette lettering, much less print white, so this was the closest i could get
