Hello Reg.
Well I never saw a set 61 with the grey planes. I know Peter Quaile was trying to fill one. It is however possible that there was a set filled with the grey Singapore, two grey Fairey Battles and two grey Gladiators.
I have one of the latest sets 61 with date code BW 7081 20M 5/40, May 1940. In this smaller set are two Battles without wheels and a Singapore with transfer roundels as on most 1940 planes. So if there was a set with grey planes it must have come in this box . The box itself is the standard dull paper instead of the shiny blue. Dimensions
It would be great if one turnes up.
