an attempt at breaking new ground in a restoration.

disassemble

after paintsrip and wire buff, clean up the castings

tighten up the undercarriage springs, which are always loose

polishing of the empanarge done

mask up for painting

impossible to get a decal to wrap around the leading edge. it has to be painted

assemble with nose and paint to match

decals; this is the tough bit. nothing fits so most have to be made from scratch. not overburdened with reams of paper, so not much room for error............

AWESOME...maybe try auto pinstriping tape or FROG TAPE....this tape is green in color and is suppose to have a very tight non bleed seal!

After papaint removal do you have a rock type tumbler?I watched a fellow on Utube use this method with HOTWHEELS ...they clean the vehicle outright!

Then polish..

just a few thought's..

many thanks Jas. not sure what a 'rock type tumbler' is. i just use a wire buffing wheel to clean up the castings before painting.
