707 lovers...

Postby solumis » Wed May 19, 2010 8:35 pm

Hi,
here a metal Boeing 707 i'm not sure who produced it. First i though it would be a Peter Nelson, but this one is true 1:100 scale and the peter nelson is bigger. The wings are screwd with metric screws. The engines are made from two pieces. The shape it is better then the Raise-up or the Bermel but not as good as the Verkuyl or Meccater.
I will reproduce the missing two engines and try to make new Air India decals for this one. Did anyone have an idea who made this one?

I too have an unmarked 707.

It is in approximate Northwest colors without the titles and is quite small.

There are two blue wires attached to the bottom of the stand.

After consulting with Chris I think too it is a Schaarschmidt model. He made a lot of different types and the stand looks like a Schaarschmidt. The metric screws are rule out any UK/US model maker. I will do some recast of the engins and will redo it in the air India livery. Now i just missing the beautiful Mecater 707

Mystery Solved! This plane is supposed to sit atop the allegedly rare "Flying High" bar mixer. The nose is supposed to light up. I ran across this example this afternoon:
